Letter from the Founder

Greetings!

Welcome to our newly launched website. I hope you will enjoy reading about Shangri-La and about the work of Yunnan Mountain Heritage Foundation. I made my first visit to Shangri-La just two years ago. Little did I know that I would be back many more times bringing family, friends, student groups and interns, representatives from universities and eco-tourism agencies and many others interested to see Shangri-La for themselves and what YMHF is doing there.

YMHF has come so far in this short time only because of the interest many people have taken in our activities. It is with the help of so many friends who have generously given their precious time, incredible talent, and energy that has brought life to all of the activities you will read about in the following pages.

I thank all of the hard working people who helped make YMHF a reality.

I close this note with the following words of inspiration from Adzom Rimpoche. “May the fruit of our efforts benefit all mankind.”
